Brian Connors, owner of Ice Age Ice Sculptures of Charleston,
SC, has been carving ice for the last 20 years. As a graduate
of Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute Brian began his culinary
career in the kitchen working his way up from Sous Chef to Executive
Chef during his tenure on various properties as well as working
in Trident Technical College's Culinary program. Early in his
career he was exposed to the art of ice carving. His love for
ice sculpting was immediate and he found this type of medium
brought him back to his passion for creating art. His career
is now devoted solely to ice carving and finds owning and operating
Ice Age Ice Sculptures to be very rewarding and exciting. He
is a member of and certified judge for the National Ice Carvers
Association.
He has successfully competed in a number of ice carving competitions. In addition,
he shares his ice carving knowledge and skills by teaching ice carving classes
at Trident Tech's Culinary Institute. Brian is excited that with his association
with Edwin Hutchinson Ice Age Ice Sculptures can now
create and deliver top quality ice sculptures to the following areas: Greenville,
Spartanburg, Columbia, Aiken, Augusta, Atlanta, Orangeburg, Sumter, Florence,
Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head, Savannah, and Jacksonville.

Edwin Hutchinson resides in the Greenville South Carolina area with his wife,
Angie, and three children. In 1997 Edwin was introduced to the art of ice
sculpting by Brian Connors while attending culinary school at Trident Technical
College in Charleston, SC. Edwin was trained by Connors for the next 3 years.
After college Edwin moved back to the upstate area. Since then he has enjoyed
developing his skills as a carver and has won several ice competitions in
the southern area. As a chef he continues to prepare numerous and flavorful
dishes for his dining patrons. With his successful ice sculpting business
he travels hours in all directions of his workshop in Greenville, to display
his custom designed ice creations.
Chef Ward Morgan from TTC is working with Ice Age Sculptures helping to create the new ideas and incorporating the ice technology with the local culinary world. |
